Ten years has passed since you went away but to me dad, it seems like just yesterday
It has got a little easier, the days to get through. They don't pass with me, without thinking of you
It's time once again for the show you began, To play and sign Bluegrass all over your land
Alan does well of carrying it through , With Josh by his side they carry it for you
Mom's still taking money, what a job she does great, She gets up so early and goes to bed so late
Me and my hubby, we still sell ice cream, When the line gets too long, we work as a team
The grandkids and their kids come out to help out, You'd just be so proud and you might even shout
A loud word that's bad but you always did that, The meaning was good and would give us a laugh
Lots of people show up to lend us a hand, To mow, paint or trip and spruce up your land
It's growing now dad, the show has increased, Getting better each year, to not say the least
The campers keep coming up over the hill, And filling the park which is such a thrill
To do what you started 15 years ago, Camping along with a great music show
We feel your presence up there looking down, And being so proud that we're here on your ground
And doing it just as you would have done, For the love of music and some wholesome fun
The tears have dried now as 10 years has gone by, But the hurt is still there and we'll always know why
You're in our thoughts daily and we still send our love, I know you're so proud from your place above
